What are the dates of camp?
Staff training is considered a vital component of 6 Points Sports Academy’s summer. When the staff community knows what it needs to accomplish and works together, wonderful results can occur. Arrival dates are related to the area to which you are assigned to work at camp and are part of your contractual agreement. Staff orientation for Counselors will commence on Tuesday, June 9, 2020.
How often do I receive time off?
Each staff member usually receives one period off per day. Also, after the campers are safe and sound in their bunks, and you are not assigned shmira (evening supervision), staff may have some down time. Friday nights we have an all staff oneg for Shabbat. We will also frequently have social and educational programs for the staff at nighttime. Staff will receive 1 day (24 hours) off every 7-11 days during the summer. Days off will also occur between sessions.
What if I am a vegetarian, keep kosher or have other diet restrictions?
Our menu is designed for young athletes; we serve well balanced, nutritious food that is also kid-friendly and tastes good! Almost all meals are served buffet-style in the dining hall, with all campers eating together. Breakfast includes a hot item and cereal, a protein, juice and fruit. Lunch and dinner always includes a hot entrée. A salad bar and fresh fruit is available at all times. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are always offered. We make accommodations for campers on special allergy or health-related diets. Afternoon snacks are served daily and campers receive milk and cookies at the end of the evening program.
At our North Carolina campus, kosher meals are available at every meal.
In California, all meals are Kosher-style.
When do I get paid?
All staff members will be paid upon the completion of their contract.
May I receive visitors during the camp session?
