Hi I’m Adam, I’ve been going to a camp in the UK for the last 10 years and I love it! In my spare time I’m a youth leader and I play soccer and tennis with my friends. I’m excited to be your assistant soccer coach, and even more excited to meet you!



Ben Miller, Rio Rancho, NM
1st Year Counselor & Assistant Soccer Coach

My name is Ben Miller, and I’m from Albuquerque, New Mexico and in the fall, I will attend Eastern New Mexico University. I’m excited for camp because I love sports and what it can do for kids when there is good coaching. I enjoy playing soccer, ice hockey, and lacrosse. I also enjoy spending lots of time with friends hiking in our Sandia Mountains. I can’t wait to meet everyone at camp and make amazing memories!


Blake Winston, Big Island, HI

Hi I’m Blake Winston, and I am from the Big Island of Hawaii. I am attending Arizona State University’s honors, and I am majoring in finance.  I have been playing baseball all my life, and I also played 4 years of varsity high school baseball.  Some of my interests are skateboarding, surfing, and photography.  I am excited to see all the returning campers as well as the new ones and have the opportunity to coach them.


Danielle Lewis, Los Angeles, CA
2nd Year Counselor & Assistant Swim Coach

Hi! I’m Danielle Lewis from Los Angeles. I study Art and Technology, as well as Computer Information Technology, at the University of Oregon. If I’m not in the pool, I’m probably doing ceramics, rock climbing, or laying in the sun. I cannot wait for camp to start so that I can swim every day, eat our delicious camp food, and, especially, see all of my incredible tiger ladies!


Dor Dahan, Rishon Letzion, Israel

I am 22 years old and was discharged from the IDF two months ago where I was part of the K’Fir Unit. Before the army I studied for a year in a Reform preparatory program in Jaffa. I love sports and especially soccer. I’m looking forward to the summer full of new experiences and can’t wait to meet all of our campers!

I’m Emma and I’m so excited to be back at camp again this summer! I grew up in San Diego playing basketball and went to 6 Points in North Carolina as a camper.  I can’t wait see all of you returning campers and welcome everyone who is new to 6 Points!



Gaia Davidson, Tel Aviv, Israel
1st Year Counselor & Tennis Assistant Coach

My name is Gaia Davidson, I am 20 years old and currently live with my brother in Tel Aviv. I very recently got released out of the army, where I was a combat instructor- teaching soldiers from the paratroopers unit how to use their weapons. Prior to that, I took a gap year where I volunteered in a boarding school for troubled youths, as well as in an not so wealthy village, where I taught English to 12 year olds. Before living in Tel Aviv I lived for 10 years in Berlin, which is where I developed my love for sports. I’ve been playing tennis all throughout high school, as well as participated in numerous competitions. I love playing basketball and volleyball as well, and realized my love for instructing/teaching during my gap year and army service, as well as while being in a youth movement in Berlin.

My name is Jacob, and I’m thrilled to be returning to 6 Points for another amazing summer! I am a student at Indiana University Bloomington and I’m glad to be spending my summer back in sunny southern California. When I’m not working on new music, I love to rock climb and spend time hiking with my friends! I can’t wait to share another summer of music and athletics with everyone! I’ll see you at the 6!

My name is Miles and I am from proud to be from Sacramento, California. I am entering my third year at the University of Oregon as a family and human services major. At camp I am looking forward to meeting people from all over the world and making connections that last for many years to come. I am a sports fanatic and also love doing CrossFit.

I’m Orna and so excited to be back at camp again this summer! I am a food enthusiast, music lover and long-time tennis player. My favorite part of camp is Shabbat and I can’t wait to celebrate Shabbat with all of you!

Hi, I’m Shayna from San Diego!  I can’t wait to be at 6 Points this summer and combining 2 of my favorite things- sports and Jewish camp!  I’ll be attending USC next year (fight on!) and studying Journalism with a minor in Sports Media. In my free time, I love playing with my dog, spending time with friends, trying new foods, going to the beach and listening to music. I can’t wait to meet you all this summer!

I’m Tomer and I can’t wait to be back at camp again! This year attended Wingate National Sports Academy to continue to build my skills in coaching. At Wingate I’ve been coaching basketball for 8th and 9th graders as well as an adult women’s basketball team. When I’m not coaching I like to surf. I’m excited to be back for the community and for all the fun that we’ll have during the summer!

Dori Singer Zoot, Cincinnati, OH
3rd Year Head Counselor

Dori is excited to be returning for her third summer at 6 Points Sports CA as the Head Counselor! As a graduate of Arizona State University (Go Devils!), where she studied Nonprofit Leadership & Management and Youth Service Leadership, and Hebrew Union College, where she received a graduate certificate in Jewish Education specializing in adolescents and emerging adults, Dori believes passionately in the power of immersive Jewish youth experiences.

Dori now lives with her husband in Cincinnati and works for NFTY as the Ohio Valley Regional Director of Youth Engagement. She is excited to support our counselors and campers in having a fun and meaningful camp experience. Aside from her love of working with Jewish youth, Dori loves all things Disney, eating tacos, watching Cubs games, and going on outdoor adventures in her favorite shoes: her Chacos!


Natalie Bitton, San Francisco, CA
Community Care Specialist

Born and raised in Montreal and now residing in the San Francisco Bay Area, Natalie Bitton is a bi-cultural, bi-national, and bi-lingual immigrant to the United States. In the school setting, she works with youth and parents in her role as Director of College Counseling & Guidance at a San Francisco International School.  Her private coaching and consulting practice consists of mentoring youth in areas of wellness, education, and life issues. Nationwide, she lectures on topics related to the neuroscience of the developing teenage brain, and runs mindfulness workshops for teens and parents. She’s developed diverse youth programs in service learning, promoting girls in STEM, and commitment to environmentalism.

Robin Lewis, Irvine, CA
Community Care Specialist

Robin Lewis, MA, LMFT, is a child and family therapist who has served in a variety of community-based settings as a therapist, program director and clinical manager; including child welfare, residential treatment, domestic violence shelters, private practice, public school districts, and non-profit agencies in the Phoenix area, Los Angeles and Orange counties over the past 22 years.  She is the proud parent of a bright and creative 16-year old son, who will be playing basketball and flag football this summer at camp.  Outside of her current role as Sr. Manager of Clinical Services for a local managed care organization, Robin volunteers as a court-appointed special advocate (CASA) within the foster care system and enjoys hiking, Zumba, and spending time with her son, their mischievous dog, and her three adorable nieces.  This will be Robin’s 8th summer volunteering as part of the support staff for URJ summer camps and her first year at 6 Points Sports.

Coach Anthony Naso, Cleveland, OH
2nd Year Head Baseball Coach

I grew up in Amherst, OH- and baseball is my life! I studied Psychology and Business Administration while playing baseball at Slippery Rock University of PA. After graduation, I began coaching right away for Canisius College in Buffalo, Ny. I then went on to play professionally in the Dutch MLB, in Doredrecht, Holland, the Netherlands. I am currently the Pitching Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for Clarion University of PA.


Coach Ido Heller, Be’er Sheva, Israel
2nd Year Head Swim & Strength/Conditioning Coach

I’m an Israeli native, who loves hiking and the summer time! Prior to moving back to Israel after camp last summer, I lived and studied in Indiana doing sport psychology and counseling. I am passionate about long-distance triathlon/Ironman, I love military-related movies, the show “Friends”, and good mouse chocolate.


Coach Jerry Simon, Los Angeles, CA
3rd Year Head Basketball Coach

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, attended Marshall High School where we won the LA City Championship and I led the state of California in scoring. I went on to play college basketball at Penn for four years where we played UNC in the NCAA tournament and I was all-Ivy League. Then, I played eleven years of professional basketball in Israel with Galil Elion where we won the Israeli Championship over Maccabi Tel Aviv. During that time he made aliyah, served in the IDF and became fluent in Hebrew. He currently teaches at Marina HS and have coached basketball at the high school, JCC Maccabi, and youth level since he retired from playing. Jerry will be the Head Coach for OC JCC Maccabi Basketball team this summer in August, too!

Coach Maxanne “Max” Retzlaff, Claremont, CA
3rd Year Head Tennis Coach

Max’s coaching career began at Brooklyn College. After earning her Masters degree from Manhattan College,  she became the Head Coach at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges where she forged the Athenas tennis team into a perennial NCAA powerhouse and one of the most competitive programs in the nation.  In 2006 her team finished third in the NCAA Championships and Max was named NCAA Division III Women’s Coach of the year. 2011 saw her #1 player, Kristin Lim, become the first Athena tennis player to win an NCAA Title. 2012 saw her team win their 14th Conference title and be awarded her 18th bid to win an NCAA title.  A great player in her own right she was on scholarship at St. John’s University (Queens,New York) and was the team MVP in 2 of her 4 years playing for the Red Storm. After graduating she played for the US Maccabi team from 1987, 1989, 1991 and in 1999. Where she won two golds (in Sydney, Australia), a bronze (in Caracas,Venezuela) along with gold and silver ( in Mexico City, Mexico). Max has been the Head Tennis Coach at 6 Points Sports Academy in California since 2016. Max lives in Claremont, California with her husband Steve, and three sons, Reggie 17 (2017 USA Basketball gold medalist Maccabi Games, Israel), Jake 15, and Danny 13.


Coach Rafi Nahom, Los Angeles, CA/Ramat Gan, Israel
3rd Year Head Soccer Coach

Born and raised in Israel, soccer has always been a passion for Rafi. Playing soccer since the age of 5, it has always been his most enjoyable hobby and, since he began coaching, his favorite profession as well. After moving to the United States Rafi continued playing soccer throughout high school. After deciding to focus on academics at UCLA, he realized that he wanted to combine his passion for soccer and sports with his academic studies so he transferred to UCSB where he majored in Business Economics and obtained a minor in Sports Management. While at UCSB he began playing soccer again during his sophomore year and became more connected to the Jewish community on campus through his involvement with Hillel and the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity. Rafi holds a USSF National “C” Coaching License and currently coaching boys and girls between the ages of 3-17. Rafi is still pursuing his goal of coaching Manchester United and following in the footsteps of his role model, Sir Alex Ferguson.

I’m married to Nurit and we live in kibbutz Revivim. I’m 30 years old, and I’m a Head coach and Head of the Hapoel Ramat Negev  basketball program in Israel. I studied at Ben Gurion University. I’m excited to see everyone at camp this summer!

Linda Dimick, Rochester, NY
Camp Nurse

I was raised, and currently reside in Rochester, New York, living only 4 miles from beautiful Lake Ontario, I have a cottage in the 1000 islands where I spend time reading and relaxing. I am a proud mother of 2, a son named Richard, and a daughter named Rachel, I also have 2 beautiful grandchildren, Madelyn, my star soccer player and Gavin who is just 3 months old so he’s just plain cute. I have a passion for reading, boating, golfing, and fishing, which I share with my family.

I have had the great pleasure of being a Pediatric Nurse for 27 years, working in long term care, and community health nursing, I have served in many areas as a volunteer, to support healthcare in the children in my community. I support, and encourage higher education as I have witnessed growth, and fulfillment in myself and others.


Marcia Elliot, Lynwood, CA
2nd Year Camp Nurse

I was born in the West Indies; Jamaica and raised in the USA on the East cost Maryland. I love to watch all sports but enjoy volleyball and archery. I became a nurse because I love working with people. I have been a nurse for 29 extraordinary years. I am enjoying my current position as a very busy K-8 school nurse and look forward to being at camp this summer with my two sons.


Rebecca Townsend-Barker, Pasadena, CA

I have been a nurse for a LONG time and working with kids even LONGER – I’m loving every minutes of it! I am also an avid sportster; well, maybe just an avid yogi, swimmer and elliptical-er.  I spent 7 amazing summers at URJ Eisner Camp in Massachusetts and I’m so excited to be with you this summer for 2 sessions!




Safiye Chen, San Jose, CA
Camp Nurse

I am a native outdoor loving Californian. I enjoy being goofy with my husband and 2 kids, and squeezing adventure and travel into every minute possible. Music, scouts, community service, and family time are a few more things I love to fill my days with. On top of all that, I’ve been a nurse with children and young people for quite a few years (26). I love helping kids to overcome obstacles to be successful, and the best version of themselves they can be. I am really looking forward to great experiences and connections at camp this summer.


Sam Brodkey, Santa Cruz, CA
2nd Year Athletic Trainer

Sam is the camp athletic trainer, body surfing instructor, and arguably a better soccer player than Coach Rafi. He currently works as an athletic trainer for Elite Physical Therapy in Santa Barbara, practicing sports medicine at some of the local colleges. Sam graduated in 2017 with a Master’s in Athletic Training from the University of Hawaii – Manoa. Originally from Santa Cruz, California, Sam grew up with a passion for surfing, and all things ocean. He’s excited to be back at camp for his second year!

I have been a family nurse practitioner for over 30 years but last year I decided to move in another direction. Now I am a school nurse working with students who have special needs.  I live in San Diego with my family where I enjoy the beach, the beautiful weather and the chance to do some occasional fun stuff like paddle boarding.”

Coach Alli McKain, South Carolina/Los Angeles, CA
3rd Year Athletic Director

It’s game time 6 Points California! I am your athletic director, Alli McKain. 6 Points Sports Academy has been my summer home since opening its doors for the very first time in North Carolina in 2010.  I have an extensive background in athletic administration, with experience in a wide variety of sports.  I have spent the last 16 years perfecting my craft in the field of coaching, and currently serve the Los Angeles area with specialized sports programs and skill development clinics, in addition to being an advocate for health and physical education at the state level.  I am passionate about mentoring coaches and providing professional development to educate coaches on best training tactics and specialized instruction that deeply impacts the lives of athletes, both Jewish and non Jewish.


Brian Mitchell, St. Louis, MO/Los Angeles, CA
Camp Director

A spirited St. Louis Cardinals fan, Brian was born and raised in St. Louis, MO.  After spending many summers as a youth at JCC Sports Day Camp, Brian began attending Camp Sabra, the St. Louis JCC’s overnight summer camp. He played basketball, tennis and ran cross country in high school, while also serving as the high school mascot his senior year.

Brian attended Indiana University, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism.  After college, Brian served as the Senior Assistant Director of URJ Crane Lake Crane Lake camp for 6 years, before becoming the Director of Congregation Beth Israel of Scottsdale’s Camp Daisy and Harry Stein for 5 wonderful years. Whenever he is not watching sports, Brian is an avid runner who has completed more than 10 half marathons and 1 full marathon.  Besides his love of anything related to St. Louis Cardinals baseball, he follows the University of Missouri Tigers, and is a proud Hooiser, an alum of Indiana University.

Joey Angel-Field, Pasadena, CA
Director of Jewish Life

Joey is a Rabbinic student at Academy of Jewish Religion-CA, with a bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies from Cal State Long Beach. He has been playing ultimate since High School, and he has been able to play in South Korea (where he lived for a year) and as part of the world-famous Paganello Beach Tournament in Rimini, Italy. He has kicked around a ball in the streets of Jerusalem, and learned new ways to dance in Tel Aviv. He is so excited to be back at home at Jewish camp, and so excited to join the 6 Points Team! Judaism is a team sport, bringing us together and strengthening us as individuals.


Rachel Slaton, Austin, TX/Los Angeles, CA
Associate Camp Director

Born and raised in Austin, TX competing in everything from gymnastics to basketball to volleyball, I fell in love with sports at the same time that I feel in love with being Jewish. Being an NCAA athlete (Southwestern University, Volleyball) is something I’m deeply proud of, especially our conference championship and NCAA Regional Tournament run my senior year.  I knew I wanted to open a Jewish sports camp after I spent my college summers working at URJ Camps Swig & Newman and spent my time in the off-season coaching club volleyball. I have been coaching for over 10 years now with the goal of cultivating a growth mindset in each athlete with whom I have the honor of working. I have a wonderful husband, Rich, and a spunky, brilliant dog named Daniel Boone. Can’t wait to see y’all at camp, again, this summer!
