Today’s the day! After a year’s worth of planning and organizing, after all the fundraising and reunions, coordinating schedules, picking up our international staff, planning with the leadership team, training the summer staff, and double-checking our equipment, it all comes together the very second that campers enter our gates. I have spent the last two weeks at our AHA campus preparing the grounds for camp, and now we can finally see the results of our efforts.
Things on my mind as we kickstart our summer season:
To our new campers: You’re in for a camp experience like no other. Regardless of your chosen sport, I know that you will leave camp a different person. You will have new friends, new skills, and you will have a fuller perspective of your own Jewish identity. We hope to see you for many years to come!
To our returning campers: Welcome home! You already know why 6 Points is special, now you can get back to training, playing, and living your summer to the fullest.
To our staff: Thank you! 6 Points couldn’t run without your energy and enthusiasm. I have a great deal of confidence in your abilities, now it’s time to get out there and make sure every camper has the best summer of their life!
To our coaches: Camp wouldn’t be the same without you. Our facilities mean nothing without the talent that you bring to the table. Our campers will grow due to your leadership and coaching skills, and as you know there’s nothing better than seeing your young athletes build and develop their skills because of you.
To our parents: I know that this can be a hard time for some, especially for first time camp families. But I also know that your children will have a fantastic summer and make memories that they will cherish for the rest of their lives; soon enough your campers will be counting down the days until next summer!
To the entire 6 Points Sports community: I couldn’t be happier with the way our camp has continued to grow and develop. The support you have given us, in all its forms, has been invaluable in creating the camp that I am honored to be a part of. Can’t wait to see you all soon and I hope you’re all ready for camp!
